Ah but its not, its not the 2nd most popular camera, those words would imply in terms of either sales, or even just user desire, or something, not a very specific set of users.

The problem I have is the connection between Camera's surviving a predicted slump of the Smartphone. Because ultimately Cannon are not talking about the sales of the 5Dm2.

If you read this article even more and even the headline, you will also understand that dedicated camera's are still selling well despite the surge in iphone/mobile phone camera's.
I don't know where you think I'm saying they didn't.
I'm just saying that to suggest, based on Flickr, its the 5Dm2 that is responsible for this, is erm, unsubstantiated.
