I very nearly bought a 680 - it was just stock shortages and then price increases that stopped me. Glad I didn't now! Nearly bought one on the launch day but couldn't quite commit.

Have to say I was SO close to buying the EVGA SC one when scan laucnhed it for £310. After an hour or so they increased it to £355 - not happy!

For the vast majority of us on 1 screen it's simply overkill. My GTX570 runs Battlefield 3 fine on high settings at 1920x1200...I doubt there's much real reason for the vast majority of users to upgrade. I can remember when hardware couldn't be fast enough, sadly, that's not the case anymore. I bet nVidia and ATI have sleepless nights over the lack of innovation in the games industry for the last 4 years.

So no, I simply can't justify the cost for performance I'm unlikely to notice.

The best deals are on the last gen hardware which can now be picked up for a bargain price....your money would be better spent on the 6950 @ £150 + £180 for a 256Gb Crucial M4 SSD, unless you're running a multi-monitor set-up that can justify the extra pixel pushing power!

I sold my last card (a GTX 460) around xmas time last year. I knew the Kepler cards would be out soon and reckoned I could get more fir my old card than if I waited for the new releases. Worked out pretty well I think, it's just that I haven't got round to replacing it yet.

The reason I got rid of the 460 was that I wanted to use the 3D Vision (which I loved) and the 460 wasn't really powerful enough for that - even with the res lowered to 1280x720 or something. I reckon with a 670 I should get double to triple the frame rate which should give enough speed for 3D mode.

Would kinda like a new GPU to replace my 5870 but £300+ is way above what i would spend. Im looking at £200-250 to be honest and i feel as though im in a similar situation to cptwhite, i dont really need to do anything at the moment.

It's a good card but again release prices jump 10-15% first day.

I can't see me upgrading my gtx580 for a very long while as long as prices keep rising for mid to high end.

I probably will when I upgrade my 'puter (LONG overdue but waiting for the (June?) windows 8 RC - plan is to try it for a couple of months and decide whether to go Win7 or Win8. The 670 is certainly my current first choice of card, though a couple of months and associated price adjustments could always change that...

Nope. Can't justify spending more than £150 max on a graphics card. Last time I did was a Radeon X800 for £250, regretted it a few months later and resolved to not make the same mistake again.

Got a 570 at the moment but I am enticed by the lower power consumption and much greater speed, the price is a still a little high for what I'm getting though, I'm going to wait until prices settle down, I really want a 4GB card with quieter custom cooler on and then I'll spend good money on it, it'll then be the last card before a total PC rebuild probably, in maybe 2 years or so. I reckon the rest of my PC will be fine until then!
