Re: News - 'PanaSony' OLED TVs may be a possibility for the future

Both Panasonic and Sony are known for producing excellent high-end TVs, however, Sony in particular has been pricing itself out of the market, slow to adjust to changing trends
Not sure I totally agree with that assessment, at least based on my very limited experience. When we were shopping for a TV, the Bravia we got (a mid-range model) wasn't that much more expensive than quality-comparable LG's and Samsungs.

However, I thought that Sony were looking for an exit from the TV market - at least that's what the news commentators on the tv appear to be saying?

Do either Sony or Panasonic make their own OLED gear or are the panels coming from someone else? (Usually Samsung or LG?).

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

I certainly wouldn't fancy being a beta tester for these first generation OLED TV's even if I had 8 or 9k tucked under my bed ...
