Well judging on the recent predictions on smartphones I'd take this with a very large bucket of salt!
Sounds quite plausible, Nokia do have a lot of fans to turn windows phone around again.

Yes, only in that quarter, and only in Russia and China, but still a remarkable achievement. WP may overtake the iPhone in terms of sales, however installed user base is the metric you really want to look at, and WP won't come anywhere near any of the other big platforms for a long long time.

I'm going to get a Windows Phone 8 device later this year. Either a Nokia, HTC or maybe Samsung. If we knew for certain whether you can upgrade the Nokia Lumia 800/900 phones to WP8, I would probably have one now.
