Sorry to be pedantic, but the "standard" sim should really be considered a Mini sim. That picture of the Nano Sim does appear to be pretty wrong too:

It just looks like a decremental change in size from a Micro Sim to a Nano Sim.. not too drastic.

And I thought Apple was a part of that.. but then afterwards they turned round and said "we don't make phones, we make portable communication devices" or something equally nauseating

There's no benefit to them using microUSB, only consumers.

Did you not hear - Apple can change, break and make up laws and rules where ever they want. ( well almost everywhere )
