Remember that the vast majority of the population of the developed world are numpties though ;) That's the only reason our society exists as it does, good old pyramids :D

Not sure how this will help though really, considering that the most well used site (TBP etc) don't host the copyrighted content themselves so shouldn't be able to receive a takedown notice? Sites like the TBP may be amongst the scourge of the internet and obviously need to be taken down asap, but unless their formulae has a specific blacklist or completely different criteria, not sure how this will make a massive impact.

A step in the right direction for making it more difficult for joe bloggs to pirate something, but then again also not great for privacy/web freedom :(

Thats right the big boys will get away Scott free, like always. another way to promote bi8g business. Hope someone comes up with an nonrestrictive engine, isn't that what the web is all about.
