    Given it a few more years they'll reach number one and kill of any US competition, western companies that set up in China so expect to be overtaken by Chinese firms in the same industry.

    Would not surprise me in the slightest. it does help that lenovo listens to the customers and are generally approachable even by small customers. especially the Think division.

    It also helps that when you buy a think pad you know your getting a machine that lasts. my thinkpad t60p is 6 years old and has only needed to have it's battery replaced (after 5 years of daily use) during this time it would travel 100 miles a day on a rickety old bus through rain, snow, sub zero temps. im incredibly rough on my machines. i drop them, throw them about on my back its bounced off my bed more that a few times while on. and it's just kept humming along.

    Yes and they are also hitting lower price points which see people buy Acer/Toshiba instead.
