Its a nice card but not much faster than the GTX 570 I already own with it being the MSI Twin Frozr III Power Edition OC, so for the slight speed boost I would see its barely worth it. I already get 60 FPS 1080p in most games with my current setup so would not see any realistic benefit.

My Radeon 5850 is enough for me for now. I won't mind winning a better card, but I won't spend any significant amount of money on it.

The 660 isn't really a midrange from its price, in this range, its going up against the 7950 in price wise and a tiny bit over an 7870 in performance. If i had a choice, i would pick the 7950 for performance or 7870 for power, noise, heat, price, performance per watt or performance per GBP (the 7870 chip is half the size vs gk104).

The 660 has to come down in price (non are OOS anywhere you look) if it wants to sell any.

I was recently looking into buying a new card and your comment lines up with my thoughts. I haven't had a ATI card in my pc for ages. I might have to start looking into a AMD build if its really that superior on all those levels.

No. In fact, I'm selling my GTX670 because I'm not satisfied with its performance at 5040x1050 resolution, and the GTX660Ti is significantly worse at 2560x1600 due to its crippled memory interface.

I'm probably going to buy a Windforce 7950 for $300 (or less) on special, and possibly flash it with a modded, overclocked bios once I've found its highest settings.

I upgraded from my 560ti to a 670 a couple of months ago but I had a nagging doubt that I should wait for the 560ti.

It's a good card but too expensive at the moment and I'm glad I didn't wait.

I want to see nvidia's answer to the 7750. I thought I'd never return to AMD after bad driver experience with the 4800 series but 55W draw on a single slot card is just what I need for my SFF scratch build. Trying to prove to my console gamer friends that gaming PCs can be small, sexy and relatively inexpensive.
Still, if I win it I'll probably change my mind about what I'm trying to build

I only paid Scan £133 for my over-clocked GTX 460 1GB nearly two years ago, and the price on the GTX 660 Ti being nearly double that, doesn't seem good value in my opinion.

Its pretty average, Nvidia knew what they were up against (7870) and still haven't really made a huge dent at all... the review you just did for the gigabyte superoverclocked 660 which was £287 is silly, graphic card purchases are heavily reliant on the games you play but if we just compare it to the powercolour 7870 overclocked version they are both 50/50, but the 7870 still uses less power (I seem to recall everyone praising how amazing the power efficiency of the 600 series was... seems its pretty much average if that now,in the market that power is important the mid range.) and it costs £228 at scan right now! almost £60 cheaper which is quite substantial.

I was on the look out for a card to retire my gtx460 but it seems there isnt really anything cheap to kick it, the high end just doesnt seem to tickle my fancy yet and so I am firmly set to wait out till the 8000/700 series are out, or atleast buy something like the 7950 when its EOL for £100 (*prays*)

Holding onto my GTX460 and Q6600 till the next gen intel stuff comes out.

I have 2 460's in SLi so until they start to struggle I'll pass.

Yup, I bought two SuperOverclocked GTX 460s and they are doing just fine - and with barely a whisper of noise. Not seen anything since that offered as good acoustics for as much grunt, and until they stop preforming I see no need to part with my cash. Without having one to play with I can't say for definite, but from what I've read this card is not going to be a suitable replacement.

Still using a Geforce 8800GTS here, it's almost 6 years old now as I got it from scan at launch!

Badly need an upgrade but as I said before, I can't justify spending more than £175 as I just don't get the time to game on my PC like I used to.
