I'm sure sure a keyboard like that would give me enough tactile feedback.

As with all touch and keyboard technology it is important to try before you buy to see if the feel and functionality work for you.
Very true. Although I've got to say that I like the idea that the keyboard is smart enough to automatically disable the trackpad when you're typing. Then again, I don't count myself as a fan of trackpads as anything other than a short term provision.
Am I reading the article wrong or is it the case that this keyboard technology is designed primarily for portable devices (laptops and extended tablets like the Surface or Transformer) in which case you probably won't see a separate device appear for desktop use? This is more curiosity on my part since I'm quite content with my current Logitech combo.
(Wow - my two thousandth post - I must have too much spare time!) ;)

This keyboard is designed to save space where that is desirable; like you said, in laptops and portable keyboards to accompany iPads etc. Though I see more and more tiny flat keyboards for sale intended for desktop users, I like big beastly, noisy, tactile keyboards on my desk.

You can even implement this at the operating system level - it's not a new idea. It is, however, very useful.
