    This is why i would like to see a push towards open Firmware in devices like the coreboot project. i dont trust chinese manufacturers at all nor the Chinese government.

    That is why after receiving preinstaled PC I wipe it all out and install Windows from downloadable content available to everyone (yes, all Windows versions are free to download) followed by drivers.

    Indeed, it really shouldn't be this way, they load so much junk on new machines, they're like 3 legged dogs when you first get them.
