A quick trip to the store was probably out of the question anyway given they're going to cost ~£100.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

So am I missing something or is the Wii U not going to be the fun party machine that the Wii was? S

My Wii only really tends to get used when I have friends round after a couple of drinks and spend hours mucking around on Wii Sports!

You can use the "pro controller" and old Wii accessories for games that support them, but no games at launch will support more than one of the 'tablet-controllers' - so you won't need another one - that's why they're won't be any to buy.

As per my first post, i think the fact it costs ~£100 for a controller is a bigger barrier for most people.

Yeah it does make it quite an expensive proposition, once the initial rush dies off after a few months I suspect prices will drop a bit or they'll start doing deals with a reduced price second controller. I guess it depends on how desperate you are for it as soon after launch, will be an interesting one to watch

I think it's all going to depend on the games and who gets on board, I mean Ouya raised millions for what is essentially a Tegra 3 with the promise of games with good gameplay. The Wii U has the potencial, it's powerful, it's got interesting controllers including the more traditional pro controller and its priced well with a huge social ecosystem.

I honestly want it to do well but it could be too late.

A Wii Plus remote and numchuck are still £55 together (at Argos) so prices really haven't come down. There's a lot to be said for the Xbox with Kinect in terms of cost and multiple players.

I'm pre-ordering. I bet the browser plugin support will still be terrible.

Re: News - Why you won't be able to buy a second GamePad at Wii U launch

That makes perfect sense, it was stupid of me to think of any other reason because at the moment most local multi-player games use the player with the Gamepad as the "Host" and any single-player/online multi-player use the Gamepad as extra screen space for the HUD and Items. Its great that the WII-U has a plethora of control options, its a shame that there is no gamecube controller compatibility.
