Seriously? £20/year for a new version of a domain I already own, or risk someone else squatting my well-chosen domain name?
Thanks nominet, great deal there
*buys scaryjim.uk* Pay me noaw! :P
Lol was just thinking that myself - one more domain for companies to buy.
why was it .co.uk instead of .uk in the first place?
Well, you've got .org.uk for organisations, .gov.uk for government, .ac.uk for academic institutions, .co.uk for companies.
And then the USA decided that they were far too important to adhere to that system, so theirs make no sense at all, and now they've basically decided to give up any pretence of control and let you have whatever domain name you want.
and where does all the money go??
Who initailly owns all the domain names, to sell them in the first place??
Oops, a Freudian slip there? :DQuote:
