Most of the subscribers are from Russa where it is turning into a national sport.
I have to admit it's one game that I've been tempted to give a whirl (whenever I get a bit of time).
great game from a forward thinking company ...
can't wait for aircraft and battle ship versions ...
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true
(Cassandra, in Agamemnon by Aeschylus)
To see the wizard one must look behind the curtain ....
Important thing to note that playing it without premium is painful or impossible on higher tier tanks. So it's actually a subscription based game with a F2P option.
I wonder how many players stay free. The ones I know spent around £100/head on gold already
It is exceptionally good fun if you don't play to grind. Instead, find a tank/line you enjoy and it is just a really good tank 'em up. It's on a good upward curve in terms of features and rewards as well
Never paid a penny but you still can have a lot of fun without a higher tier tank .The option is there to pay some up notes but that what makes this a very good game , you are not forced to pay anything which i feel is better than having to pay a monthly subscription
we have a tanks thread if anyone wants any pointers.
There is plenty gold to be made ingame too if you are an okay player. I have been playing since beta and I have spent about £30 (or £40?); pretty good value.
maybe its about time i try this game out
Never heard of this game but I am going to look into it. I did enjoy Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 after all!
---The creators, Wargaming.net, also claim that the game has set a world record for the amount of concurrent players in a game; on one server in Russia over 500,000 combatants played.---
Wonders if I am alone in recognising that this server had more combatants fighting at the same time than many of the significant and PIVOTAL campaigns had actual physical flesh and blood soldiers fighting during the Second World War itself. This is more people fighting than fought on DDay for example...
I think we should be celebrating World of Tanks as a peace maker... give it the Nobel Peace Prize... as this might be used to show a different way to resolve 'military conflicts'.
