What??
Well there goes another free good app to the dogs..can't wait for the day Failbook goes under, I'll be dancing on their grave.
It suggests the contact to link to your account, you still have to accept the link. It's not like it just adds all your contacts without asking O.o How is that a bad thing? Alot of people don't have Whatsapp so it would be a big job texting all your friends and asking who uses Whatsapp and then linking each person to Whatsapp.
Such bad news, I would have thought they'd work on a version of Facebook chat. Unless they're looking to combine the two in some horrible abomination
Not sure cos the last time I installed Skype it didn't link like that. After I installed Whatsapp it automatically brought up a box that said 'You have 10 contacts that use Whatsapp' or something similar, then you have the option to link or not. When I last used Skype a few months back it never did it like that.
Anyhoo it would be such a shame to loose Whatsapp, it has worked flawlessly for me
+1 for NO!
Microsoft ruined Windows Live Messenger and then went on to buy Facebook.

I dont think I've paid a penny for WhatsApp and been using it for years? How have they made any money from me?
Chapman99: there is (or at least was) something in the T&Cs of Whatsapp that says that the first year is free and then it costs something like $1 per annum to use the service after this. I can't say for sure if or how they charge for this, as it stopped working on my crapberry a few months after installation.
Presumably facebook will use Whatapp to encourage more users into the farcical waster of time that is facebook and help boost it's advertising revenue whilst adding a steady flow of $1 supplements.
