    I was thinking about putting in a bid myself if the consortium has only offered $500+...

    We don’t know much about the consortium making the $500 million offer except that it is made up of some Silicon Valley tech companies and firms that specialise in buying patents.
    Translation being "patent trolls" - s**t, that means we'll probably see a raft of bl**dy stupid "IP protection" suits being filed in 2013 based on this portfolio.

    Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...
