I used to use NZBMatrix and saw lots of people complaining about take-downs and the Usenet provider that I use, but I experienced next to no problems. I download primarily 720p Blu-ray rips of movies (i.e. titles at retail) so I'm guessing it was the pre-release stuff that was being targeted.

It was nice knowing you (both).
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Noticed this yesterday when I went to the site.
I have used both newzbin and nzbmatrix, and whilst the sharing of copyrighted content is illegal and I agree they should comply with takedown notices, it's a shame that the perfectly legal uses of usenet, the sharing of open source content, is going to be badly hurt through all this.
I am sure Usenet itself will continue, probably at a higher cost per subscriber, but I think the indexing sites will get smaller as more find it too difficult and costly to operate.

Short of flying to the USA on a Sunday for my weekly HD hit of HBO et al, is there a (legal) way of watching these shows as they air (or a few hours after) rather than waiting weeks/months for the UK to catch up or to pick up the series on bluray?

And yes, I mean subscription based, $15/month type affair...?

+1, also would have been useful if you could pay £2 per episode and stream/download it.

There is a site that is for american ex pats to be able to watch american tv channels.
ustvnow, seems legit as apparently they do work for the us networks and military (though if I'm wrong, obviously please remove the link)
They show fta us channels for free, and cable at a monthly subscription cost.
It is only for non US residents.
