No, you can't necessarily use an adapter, read my posts^. :)
It would be nice if some of these tiny PCs would come with at least dual NICs as they're potentially ideal for a powerful firewall system, depending on price and power consumption, of course. There are a few I've seen but they tend to be very expensive.

In theory, but find me a monitor that takes resolutions over 1920x1080 over HDMI. Or an intel CPU for that matter. I've got a Dell 30" - it takes 2560x1600 over DP or DVI but not HDMI ... my ivybridge will output 2560x1600 over DP only ... here's hoping haswell will fix that.
my 23" is running at 1920*1200 on hdmi
i have a 27" running at 2560*1440 that uses hdmi

IIRC that's at or near the absolute maximum resolution possible ATM at 60Hz. Whether both ends support it is another matter.

This is clearly substance over style. Looks ugly! I fear this type of grey/silver is becomming the new beige.

Not forgetting the blue LEDs. :)

I'd think something of this size sat behind a TV in the living room acting as NAS and media box as well as a low(ish - depends on haswell HD4000) would likely tick boxes for quite a few folks.
