No DP, no sale. Desktop displays will start properly busting through 1920x1080 this year and i'd like to be able to use one.
Don't see what the issue is. HDMI can handle upto 4096x2160,
An Atlantean Triumvirate, Ghosts of the Past, The Centre Cannot Hold
The Pillars of Britain, Foundations of the Reich, Cracks in the Pillars.
My books are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!
In theory, but find me a monitor that takes resolutions over 1920x1080 over HDMI. Or an intel CPU for that matter. I've got a Dell 30" - it takes 2560x1600 over DP or DVI but not HDMI ... my ivybridge will output 2560x1600 over DP only ... here's hoping haswell will fix that.
Does it run Crysis?
My HTPC: Linky

It would be nice with dual Thunderbolt ports for 4k TV via Intel Collage.
HDMI is essentially single-link DVI, there's nothing magical about an adapter that will increase bandwidth. Higher resolutions/refresh rates require DP or dual-link DVI.
HDMI input, shirley a mistake?HDMI input and HDMI output ports
How low power? My MSI Windbox DC100 uses 9W idle and is easily capable of doing everything that I throw at it.
I imagine this little box of tricks would make a great home theatre PC. Who knows? It may be able to run some half good games too!
Well done again Gigabyte!
