I like what they have done, I would of bought one if the 808 wasn't the perfect blend of features for me.
Re: News - BlackBerry 10 launched, Z10 smartphone available tomorrow!
Question, why would a company rename itself to it's dying product line?
Re: News - BlackBerry 10 launched, Z10 smartphone available tomorrow!
It's not just ordinary pixels, it's MEGA pixels...355 of em apparently...

I reckon that Samsung sales total of 63 devices sold should be easily surpassable ... lol.
Good name change really. If you presently have a bad experience with a Blackberry do you say "i've just beened Rimmed". ;-)

To put a stop to all the RIMming jokes. Who wants a RIM job in chilly Canada etc. Also to focus the brand, everyone knows them as BlackBerry anyway, no point in confusing the public by showing RIM to them when they just want a DangleBerry...
Re: News - BlackBerry 10 launched, Z10 smartphone available tomorrow!
I thought looking at the Z10 that its a generally good spec but 4.2" is a little small for a large easy soft keyboard and its not a cutting edge CPU. Behind the best Androids but similar overall to latest WinPhones and iPhone 5 except the 2GB RAM better and the SD slot many will appreciate. Although I'd have thought removable storage was a black mark against security, many enterprise customers would ban it on the office PCs, can it be disabled with policies? Its all about the OS though, to sell it must at least better the WinPho experience and catch the buyers who've excluded Apple and Android. Stealing customers back from the big 2 will be a lot harder though....

reading the reviews on the camera - apparently a £10 Tesco`s one is better at low light shots....

Seconded...
The challenge is a big one. RIM sold 12 million smartphones in Q4 2013 whereas Apple shifted nearly 48 million iPhones and Samsung sold 63 Android powered phones.
I would *really* hope Samsung sold more than 63 of them... :)

I think they might survive if they can basically make it free on cheap tariffs in the UK. My work will get some test samples in no doubt but I cant see them being cheap for business users and they don't bring anything my work place would need in a new model.
My money is on MS making a cheap enough WP8 handset as WP is very easy integrate into enterprise environments without the stupid BB server.
Anyone know if they resolved the whole separate server for BB Manager 10?

4.2" is a good size for many business users who want something they can put in their trouser pocket.
They should consider at least 1 candybar handset along with these by year end. There are so many people coming onto the smartphone scene but still want a phone.
Re: News - BlackBerry 10 launched, Z10 smartphone available tomorrow!
If the camera is as bad as previous Blackberry's then they will struggle - people want a half decent camera in their phones these days!

In fact, after reading a few reviews it's very meh!
