I don't think they'll be any more than a niche product - irrespective of how technically neat they are.QOTW: Does BlackBerry stand a chance?
Problem is - as I see it - that they've waited too long to deliver the new models. In the meantime folks who would have bought have moved onto iOS, Android or even Windows Phone. I love the idea of the true/efficient multitasking, but I'll be damned if I'll give up my library of Android apps and accept a very limited model choice in exchange.
Still think the big three OS's are going to be iOS, Android and Windows Phone - the latter especially if Nokia continue to make some very appealing hardware.
I can't see it changing the market much. It seems to just be another smartphone now. it doesn't stand out. If anything it looks more like an iPhone5 than most things on the market so Apple will probably be suing them soon.
I had a play of the Z10 at the weekend. It was nice, but unexceptional. It looks very understated in black. In white the overflowing screen is highlighted and it stands out more.
Then again as my mate said, they are all just rectangles with varying levels of bevel and screen size. Saw the Xperia Z, also very nice, but again very much just another rectangle.
