Hmm.. tempted, but does it come bundled with a charger and headphones?
For that price I'd expect it to to have been cutting edge components, come with top end headset, chargers for every type of power source ever invented and lovely young blonde to use it for me whilst wafting me with a palm branch and playing harp with her toes.
Who cares if it's indestructible? Could buy a new Nexus 4 every week for 6 months instead :-)
TBH,I don't understand the point of dressing up a mobile phone or tablet for such a price??
With a year to two years it will be out of date anyway and will be an expensive paper weight.
I can understand those £25000 watches,or even some of those limited edition cameras, but a phone??
It seems more for people who have too much money burning a hole in their pocket!!
Even the use of Titanium is not a big deal.
Titanium bodied cameras from Fuji and Contax were available for well under £1000.
I have to say that Vertu phones feel special.
... and their market is people who don't need to worry about spending 10k on a phone. It's not that the money is burning a hole in their pocket... not their pocket, they have someone else to do that...

Yes, think son of dictator, mafia kingpin and the like. Or that would be my impression but the wiki says they have sold over 300,000 so I guess there most be other tastelessly rich buyers too. But there might be a bright spot here: more money spent on bling phones = less left for weapons and stuff.
Here, here. Like you say at least the titanium and sapphire glass serve a useful purpose, rather than being mere bling for the sake of it.
It's going to get me flamed, but I actually quite like the design - nice to see someone doing something "retro" after these thinner and thinner devices that everyone wants to sell you.
But not that that price of course, heck I could buy a car for that kind of cash ...
Not even jelly Bean... Pfft.
See, this is what I would call a vanity phone. I never bought the arguments that most iPhone owners (and I might go as far as Apple owners) would use it as a way to flaunt their wealth. It's something that is not out of reach for most students in the developed world with a part-time job. I am not saying they are cheap, but only on the upper end of the mass market. The way I see it, phones -aren't- great things to go full luxury just because of the pace technology age. But sounds Vertu still thinks there is still a market for those.
Well, I don't really care. I wouldn't buy one even if I was billionaire, but I am sticking to my stance that people can spend money the way they want and it's really no one's business to criticise them (not directed at anyone here - it's my generic stance).
More power to the ones who choose to spend their money on more charitable cause of course.
Like Rolex watches I would have thought... the majority are given as gifts to people who don't really care.
