Well, that's sold it to me. It was either the NVidia 660 or the AMD 7870... The AMD is definitely more cost effective with Bioshock Infinity budled.

You do have the advantage of more stable drivers and slightly higher performance from a 660 however.

Not from what I have seen. Having had dozens of AMD and Nvidia cards in the last decade,I would say the drivers are not a problem for both under Windows. I can also extend that to all my mates too. Only under Linux is the Nvidia proprietary driver better IMHO.

Nvidia used to have better developer relations but this is not even the case now. Also, technically the HD7870 is a slightly quicker card if reference cards are compared to a reference GTX660. However, the GTX660 is cheaper and many are also pre-overclocked.

    Hexus' latest review of a heavily OC'd 660 doesn't show it significantly outperforming a 7870 - they track each other very closely indeed. And that's a £190 pre-overclocked 660 against a bone stock 7870.

Re: News - AMD’s new Never Settle: Reloaded games bundle

The 2 cards I was looking at were both £170 - £180 and as stated both have very close performance outcomes in the reviews I have read. Simply, it was down to best pre OC'd device for the price which upto now was the Nvidia.

However for the sake of a few mhz (50ish) which I can claim back by OC'ing it myself if needed, the package of games above just cinches the deal for me.

Does anyone know if SCAN will be offering this as the AMD website just points to US retailers at the moment.

XFX Europe were making a big song and dance out of it on twitter and facebook this morning, so it should be hitting UK retailers too, as far as I can tell. Of course, then you might end up having to buy an XFX graphics card ...

Aria have the promo up, although they're missing the tomb Raider game.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    6 games .. wow!

Very soon, this will become a norm as no one buys PC games anymore. The Studios have ruined reselling chances as they treat games like software.

Chadders, just checked with AMD and can confirm that the Reloaded bundle will be available from the following eight retailers: aria, scan, overclockers, novatech, dabs, ebuyer, pc specialist, CCL

That doesn't seem to be totally correct. I've just ordered a 7970 and only Crysis 3 and Bioshock are being included.

Oh Noes! What's wrong with XFX?! I have a 7950 Double-D installed atm, will it explode or something!?

Edit: I got the first bundle when it came out so is it possible to sell/trade the 'excess' items if I get another 7950?
