No. Not even remotely in the market for such a card. I only have a 24" monitor and I hate stereoscopy with a passion. A GTX 660 Ti would be more than I'd need for any current game or any likely game out within the next 4-6 years.

I just specced up a PC for a mate and its entire cost is less than the Titan. Besides i have 660 Ti SLI, probs not a great deal between the two.

The interesting thing I read this week is about AMD's involvement with PS4 and Xbox. This could mean that driver optimisation will port over to the PC, and that Nvidia will always be behind AMD for a few months. I think this years new cards will be very interesting, even if there is a delay. The fight is back on.

As a Premiere Pro and After Effects editor just about to build a new X79 based system, I am very tempted, but want to see some real-word CUDA benchmarks first

If it drops to $599-$649 I will buy it immediately.

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

My QOTW: Will you gift a grand to me ?

No doubt, pinnacle of single gpu performance but lacks a good price point. Once read @AnandTech “there's no such thing as a bad card, only bad prices”, I say even @$700 would've been awesome. Then its tri-SLI just in the ballpark of 2x690 and easier for comparison.

I mean how much of a premium are they charging? If it had been above 690 then damn sure would have justified itself. But as we have seen with earlier architectures as well the "little brother"X2 in almost all cases defeat the big in performance. Same repeated here, basically 690 is having a 10% in overall resolution performance. But when you look @ full hd and above it extends to 18% and that's what this card is for, I mean if not then why the hell it has a 6GB memory?

Maybe its about making a completely different tier as intel has with its LGA 2011. the i7-3770k & 3820 performs the same just the difference of platform, which leads to change in efficiency and amount of expansion iterations.

Overall I feel with good price this is a great product. This is a major head turner and if utilized right can lead to a mojor decline of amd in performance graphic category.

Absolutely not (even if I could afford it). Many, many more things are more important, tech & 'real-life' -wise (and I'm saying that as an avid gamer).

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

Yep, already ordered from Scan, arriving late next week fingers crossed (hopefully earlier, wink wink Scan guys..?)
I actually wouldn't buy if it was for gaming alone, I'd have gone dual 670s.
So if I was advising someone looking what to buy for high end gaming, I'd say:

Money no object multi-monitor gaming - Titans SLI
High budget single card - 690 GTX
High budget SLI - 670/7970 SLI
    Single GPU card - 680/7970

That's the way I see it, it's a niche product for two niche markets - enthusiasts and the compute crowd. It also drums up some marketing for them during a quiet point in their release cycle. Looking forward to see AMDs response.

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

It depends on how it performs with VRay-RT, Blender Cycles, Octane and other GPU renderers, as well as Bunkspeed Move. I expect it to perform about 50% better than the GTX580 3GB, with 100% larger memory for larger scenes to boot. So I could replace the trio of GTX580s with a duo of Titans. But it remains to be seen with the actual software, rather than synthetics. As it is, I can only afford one Titan, but if it provides a massive improvement, I know I'll just find a way to get the money.

No way, that's too much to spend on a graphics card. £250 is my limit on graphics.

If I fancied blowing £800 on PC stuff I rather go with a HD7970 and some top of the line speakers

Meh, It's good that single chip is powerful, but there isn't really any games that need that and no reason to get $800 single, when dual is only slightly louder and hotter, and not any less powerful.

noop very happy with my sli 680s which exceeds the performance of a Titan card at the same price.

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

    Absolutely YES!!!!!!!!!!

I game occasionally, well more than occasionally, but mainly do 3d modelling, prototyping, and industrial/architectural visualisations. I so badly need this card. I am working on some huge scenes with very complex models these days and my 3x GTX 580 cards are almost maxed out on memory when rendering in iray and wont be able to handle the scenes once they are completed. The alternative would be to spend ridiculous amounts on Tesla cards, so the Titan being less than half the price of the outdated 6gb Tesla C2075, and less than a 3rd of the price compared to the new K20, makes the Titan a must buy for me. I plan to get four of these cards over the next few months, that’s if I can get enough for my left kidney on ebay. For gamers I can completely understand this cards price tag being a complete turn off, but for people like myself and anyone wanting to develop or run cuda based apps/plug-ins, working with large data sets, this card is a welcome addition to Nvidia’s line up. The GTX 680 was a huge disappointment last year with its poor compute capabilities or lack of, so as long as the software I use agrees with the new Titan, Nvidia will be back in my good books again. I want to be able to game and work, and this card will hopefully do both jobs nicely, where the GTX 680 last year was a complete fail for me. I was going to buy 4x 4GB GTX 680’s last year but after seeing the compute performance benchmarks, and reading that the GTX 680 is actually slower than the GTX 580 in iray rendering, decided to wait, and I’m glad now that I did. Ordering my first Titan on Monday!
