WELL SAID. These companies are trolling us. I suspect that these games are demanding for the wrong reasons.

Hmm seriously considering whacking a second 7970 in for crossfire. Does anyone have experience with 2 big cards and the P8P67 Pro. To me it looks like the SATA ports restrict a long card from the second PCI-E 16 slot.

Also I'm amazed at how high prices have stayed for the card. Mine cost £349 a year ago, and they are still retailing at £300+. Whilst it validates my initial purchase nicely, does make me think twice about adding a second.

I suspect that there'll be a lot of them soon 2nd hand as the bleeding edge upgrades to 8970/780s.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Dont sweat it, my GTX285 felt like that with the previous Crysis yet it ran BF3, COD3 and Borderlands 2 fine. All released after Crysis2, I've heard the 285 will run Farcry 3 without much sacrifice.

I remember Crysis Warhead had huge optimisations done to it which meant it ran much smoother than Crysis 1.

The next GTA will no doubt have this same affect, but thats more due to the fact it is a behmoth game where gamers want more and more life from it.

The game would run much smoother if SMAA was used instead MSAA, with the added bonus of better image quality.

Re: Features - Crysis 3 performance on high-end GeForce and Radeon GPUs

I think the whole idea of Crysis being the benchmark in graphics has ended. At the time of Crysis 1, sure they were truely amazing but now there are other titles more worthy of that banner. Unless they actually push the boundaries a bit more and optimise the game for PC properly, then I don't see a future Crysis being as awe inspiring as the first release.

Hahahaa! I might have to get a 3rd 7970 to play this game on my 2560x1440 monitor. Which means I have to move up to LG2011 chipset or wait for IB-E to come out asap. Can you guys please do reviews using that resolution too. Some of us feel left out when our resolution isn't included.

    Cheers
