I think the current system they use, online and sections within stores (PC World) works well. In the UK I don't think Google has enough of a following for purely Google stores to be commercially viable- most Google customers for Nexus and Chromebooks buy online, not in stores. And if anyone wants to see it in the metal, they can drop into their local phone shop or electronics store and have a look. Then proceed to buy from Google online.

I think if they offered some third party phones and tablets then it would be more popular, and with their increasing lineup of hardware and not just software, I think we could see google stores in the next few years, it would be a great chance to show off some of their unique technologies such as Google Glass and the car that doesn't require a driver

Maybe they will make the stores out of Glass??
