Wonder where all this fantastic new imagery is - resolution on the aerial of my current house is appalling on Bing - the same zoom level on Google maps is far sharper. OTOH, both sets of aerials are several years old, so they're no more than a rough indication of the current appearance of an area anyway.

I was scrolling down the page when I saw the map of Huddersfield and thought to myself "neat-o, bing maps somehow found where I live and shown the map of my town." Turns out Hexus was just messing with my head.

Our house was built 3 year ago but google and bing maps still show it as empty land.

Wow, the Birds Eye view option at the top gives you some amazingly sharp imagery.

For me, both are blurry but google is slightly better. Seems to have focused on the cities more.

at least now you have more than one option i quite like google maps street view as it makes it a lot eisier to find my customers and to see what the parking is like near by.,if bing can offer a similar or better experience so much the better.

@Barry
We're not as 'old' as you - but likewise not on either maps. The satellite imagery shows us as built, but we're wasteland on the close up stuff.

I have friends in Cov who are desperate for fibre access - they can only get sky '2mb' and if they get half that it's a good day!

Not entirely impressed. The most up to date image from anywhere round here is at least 7 years old and looks like a 70's photo.

Google Earth gives you the History option, where you can see when they updated the photos of your area, very interesting, and as time passes by, it will be more and more useful to see the past... an incredible tool in my opinion.
