I wonder if it would be as dramatic as you are expecting. When looking at my battery life usage, over 70% is due to the screen, even when I game. Admittedly I like my screen really bright if not maxed.
We may expect it, but I want more. And sometime need more when travelling long distance, or going on long hikes. Without giving up the smartphone functions.Originally Posted by Brewster0101

SD card definitely. With HD video recording, apps (which are bigger now graphics are improving) a fair bit of music... You expect me as a high end user to be happy with 16/32 GB?!
Previously I would have said a user replaceable battery too, but I never made use of that with my desire HD... I'd wireless charging starts to gain traction then you'll be able to top up... But at the moment it seems to be a high end option/function.
Actually, I'd add water resistance too. I guess that I am looking for a smartphone that is usable in multi-days hikes/camping.
Well sony are doing that a lot, but the battery life is a bit poor.
However Nokia, with their new resistant covers for the 620, you could buy for £150 sim free a handset which would do, sadly the offline maps only have roads, not OS. (My 620 lasts 3days+ with battery saver on)
