Interesting idea, never thought about it to be honest but this opens up weather apps, temperature reading in apps and a whole lot more. Will also stop the water ingress problems I've heard a few people have had perhaps...
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Want...
Funny, I always wanted my phone to tell me the temps in the room I am at! Very smart idea
This is smart tool that I'd been waiting to see for quite some time! I'm really glad 'thermodo' have finally made such a device. When I clicked the link, I thought that the temperature sensor would be in-built within an adapter that would let you connect headphones too. Reading the sentence that says it uses audio signals, I think the combination of headphones and temperature sensing will sadly not be possible.
Great, but is it just me who doesn't need my phone to tell me if its cold, just right or hot.
great design to guarantee losing it within the 1st week.

?
Its cool however I really think its something that should be in smartphones without having to buy an extension to it

Although it's a great idea, it's so small that you'll probably lose it. But it's also so small that it might as well be integrated in the phone to begin with.
Hmm, I like the notion of it. As a new parent we like to obviously make sure the room our daughter is in isn't too warm and something on the smartphone would be nice for an 'instant readout' instead of firing up the baby monitor.
The problem lies in the fact that it's just something to have to go fetch to plug into the phone. I don't need to be hunting for my keys to do something I want to be instant, it's no longer 'handy' then.
That said, it does look quite tiny and could serve as a useful fluff-plug and may stop baby dribble inevitably getting into the stereo port...
Although it is a good idea, I can't help aggreing that this will only really be used by a niche market. I'm happy letting my skin tell me if it's Hot or Cold somewhere so can't imagine using this at all.
