Its a shame that it runs Amazons dodgy skin and app store IMO. Whenever i play around with one in a shop i always just think, WHY?!

Perhaps that's just because im so used to Androids standard 'Play Store' but it just doesnt do it for me.

My dad is after a new tablet at the moment, if it wasn't for the need to root this for normal android (hes a fan of normal android aswell) i would tell him to go for it.

after my wifes experience with the fire hd we wont be getting another one ever again.

I think i'll stick with my kindle :)

Getting towards a year old now, I'm guessing a refresh must be along soon.

Actually this could be exactly what the wife has been looking for - certainly more suitable than an ipad.

I would have cared when it first came out. Old tech now really. New ones just around corner from competitors.

I'd imagine the new Nexus tablet, along with new phones and Key Lime Pie, will be announced at I/O in May.

I like the resolution but the limitation of not having Google Play is reason I'll avoid this and because I do not want to pay twice for every app I've bought, having multiple eco-system is getting really annoying especially when it's using almost the same android architecture

free apps on google play magically become paid for on amazon.... and books my wife bought on google were deleted on her kindle fire hd
