No. Possibly. Oh, I don't know. I guess it depends what else is around when I come to change (October). If there's a new Nexus out, and it's not some phablet thing, I'll probably go with that, provided it goes for the same or similar price as the N4.
No. I'm in the minority I know, but I think the Samsung galaxy phones look a bit tacky compared to my HTC One X.
Also, marketing guff like this...
HEY LOOK AT US!! LOOK HOW QUIRKY AND HIP WE ARE WITH OUR HEADPHONE PARTIES AND ON PHONE PHOTO EDITING VIRAL HIGH JINX! WE'RE NOT TRYING REALLY HARD, THIS IS US NATURALLY, I PROMISE!When several S4s are in close proximity, they can link up to play the same music, simultaneously - perfect for headphone dance parties.
Nope.
Might as well get a Note 2.
Nah, gotta be the HTC this year - even if it does have that stupid beats logo on the back
Nope, HTC One for me. Possibly a new Nexus device if one is released soon after the I/O event.
Wouldn't touch another Samsung phone if you paid me, i've got an S2 and it's by far the worst phone i've ever had, no way i'm risking that again with a 2 year contract.

just got an S3 before xmas so wont get one just yet; and if i do it would have been an HTC one anyway
No chance. I'm more than happy with my Nexus 4 and certainly don't want any of that Samsung bloat ware. I used to own the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and its build quality pales into insignificance compared to the LG Nexus 4.
Thought the SIV would bring more to the table than it has.
Having an S3 at the moment I'm hoping to wait till the Note 3 - as I really like the S-Note application and could benefit from the larger screen.
HOWEVER - Its gunna be hard to resist the SIV! - It's gorgeous, and if I was gunna get a phone right now it would be at the top of my list. Not much you can do to phones these days but they've done an excellent job cramming a slightly larger screen into a slightly smaller chassis than the S3.
Some nice software combined with some excellent hardware - no wonder they are leaving the competition behind! HTC used to be good with hardware but crap with software, whilst Apple excelled with software but not so good with hardware. Samsung have done excellently since the S2 to give us the best of both worlds.
it runs android, so no.

Only just recently replaced my mobile with an S3 on a 18 month contract. Got a long time to wait before i consider and upgrade.
Which begs the question of why Samsung are releasing phones every 12 months, when your standard contract in the UK is 18-24 months, presumably its the same in other country's.
Surely by the time I want to upgrade there will be some mad-as-a-hatter 16 core phone with resolution sharper than both my tv and pc monitor, pointless.
I want longer battery life now, not sharper screen and more cpu cores.
Im still going to wait for the note 3. I do like some of the new things like eye tracking and tilt to scroll (best have an off setting tho for bed browsing), and i hope that ubuntu will run on these with ease, as thats what i aim to do( phablet for general use and ubuntu for uni work). But hey, atleast they are trying new things, the S health wristband thing kinda catches my eye too.
HTC One for me, hate the plasticay design of the S3 & S4 and touchwiz
