Re: News - Battlefield 4 unveiling teased for 27th March

I haven't really got any excitement from the news of battlefield 4 with 3 the moment the first trailer hit I was over the moon couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Now I feel if they shaft us pc users again with false promises and continue to push that awful battlelog I'm just going to give the game a miss. Call me old fashioned but an in game server browser that isn't brought down everytime you want to do a bit of maintenance doesn't work.

Yes, its not a FULL battlefield series in the way its modern war style, not past or future ! ... I personly found BC a side franchise that did nothing for me, just like MOH ! Only my view as a lot of other people like it...

Im absolutely baffled by people ragging on battlelog :/

Seriously, go on it now and use it and tell me what the problem with it are? Aside from not being able to change video, audio and control settings when outside a game, what are its genuine problems?

    It does not work fine.

Everyone I play with has the same issue as myself.....many many many servers not appearing in the list. no matter what your filters are and no matter how long you wait for the list to enumerate.

We mainly now connect to servers via our history tab........90% of which do not show up in the general server browser.....my history list is almost as large as what is left of "European servers" in my main browser.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the game a lot. Just this (and the sniper-shotgun) really gets my goat at times. two issues that should never have been issues.

Re: News - Battlefield 4 unveiling teased for 27th March

Every year for 12 years(2002-2013 not counting the yet to be released BF4) there has been new Battlefield content released. Just go to wikipedia(english version works for me) and type in "Battlefield series". A little ways down on the right side of the page is a Battlefield release timeline. My favorite was also 2142, but it seems almost all of the few servers left are FF off and populated with RDX bunny hoppers. I do still have fun playing single player though, as a number of others apparently do(based on youtube videos where people are playing against bots). I'd need a new computer to play anything newer than 2142 in the series.

It seems to go through phases, one patch it's fine the next patch it's a bit questionable.

    .....
Thats intentional. To speed up searches and reduce the load time in the Server browser. Only the first 250 or so results are returned.

Often you have 70k PC BF3 players online at any one time. Imagine the load on the server that would cause searching all 10k+ servers.
Just add servers to your favourites, join via your friends in the Com Center or go here >> http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3...5241228787006/ (I may be an admin there )

Battlelog, in my opinion, is brilliant. There are improvements to be made but you can't beat it right now. Being able to login, chat, check the news, check stats, arrange matches or just add a new friend, from any computer at anytime without needing to fire up the game is just great.

I only wish it was Bad Company 3 they were working on. BC2 is (IHO) the best online shooter ever made. It was just "fun" (remember that), and had some of the best map in any shooter (Panama Canal & Arica Harbour in Conquest).

Re: News - Battlefield 4 unveiling teased for 27th March

I bought Battlefield 3 Premium in the EA Origin sale and 3 days later, even though they've billed me, I still can't play it and there's no way to get through to them. I used the live chat and waited 3 hours and still no answer. I've also sent emails, left messages on their help forum and still nothing. I won't be buying BF4. To hell with EA and Origin!
