    Yeah 'octa' is a bit misleading, but it's a nice marketing word nonetheless. Still, 4 A15 cores should give very impressive performance, subject to things like power consumption/heat dissipation.

    This is one possible implementation of big.LITTLE, with the switching essentially hidden from the OS, but it's also possible to have configurations with all cores active simultaneously, which would add some complexity to the OS.

    I'd actually much rather have even a dual core phone with LTE than a quad or octo without it. If you've ever gone from using 3g to LTE you'll know what I mean...

    I know where you're coming from, but it depends what you do with your phone and what 3G reception is like where you live. I get pretty decent speeds on the Vodafone network on HSPA+


    More than enough for most stuff especially considering the laughable data limits you get on EE's 4G contracts, and the extra performance of the Exynos might be beneficial more than extra bandwidth for some people.
