Still no view of the machine itself? Bah, humbug.
I must be dumb but how is this usefull ". The camera also is equipped with a three-axis accelerometer." And as for beyond dx11, that will be near end of cycle, as by then coding would have caught up to hardware. But also the pc platform would have advanced too. At least thats what i see.
Not sure what the 'Analogue Face Buttons" are... do they mean Start/Select? Or R3/L3?

Other less positive changes are that the “seldom used” analogue face buttons present on the DS3 would be cut, however a positive aspect of this is that the input latency should be reduced.
The trademark buttons, X, O and so on.
I notice that the analogue sticks seem to have inverted the groove to be more like the xbox analog sticks. This was a big thing that annoyed me about previous gen PS controllers, it meant your thumbs sliding off a lot easier! This is a major improvement for me :)
Analog face buttons: This is a shame. Previously, the face buttons were pressure sensitive, and this was used to great effect in some games (e.g. Metal Gear Solid et al allowed you to press one of the buttons to aim your gun, but you had to slowly ease off to lower it without reflexively firing). This removal both means that that games can no longer use this, and limits the effectiveness of any future backwards-compatibility. Especially annoying after Sony announced that Dual Shock 3 controllers won;t work with the PS4 (though it's all bluetooth, so that may be changed later).
Accelerometer on the camera: So it can determine it's own orientation, and so compensate. Useful if you want to interact with virtual objects (e.g. on-screen objects falling in the correct orientation with respect to your physical orientation).
USB: it may not have a physical USB connector, but we can hope that it still uses the USB protocol (in the same way the Kinect has a proprietary plug).
Does anyone have pictures of redesigned triggers please? This would be the best change they can make to the DS3!!
OMG the more i read the more i fall in love, cant wait to see what Micorsoft has in store
