Why would this cost more, it doesn't look nearly as meaty as the reference design.

Those really wanting to get the most out of their Titans will presumably be applying more exotic cooling than Windforce.

I have been told they don't overclock very well anyway

I dunno, there's a guy who has a pair at 1170, that doesn't sound bad to me.

Presume this'll be a bit cheaper for gigabyte than buying nVidia's cooler.

That's presuming NVIDIA even sells it to AIBs as a PCB-only solution. It wouldn't surprise me if Gigabyte had to manually remove the standard cooler.

I thought Nvidia only allowed titan to be sold as reference design? Anyway this is awesome news for us enthusiaists :)

This is the one thing i hate about Nvidia releasing the Titan as a limited edition card like the 690. Next to no custom coolers. The reason i won't buy a card over the 680/7970.

If I had £860 to spend on one single component - this would be it!

Well that would destroy the economics argument then :p Just product differentiation perhaps then.

I like my Windforce 670 and this would be great too in a Windforce format , but added cost to an already costly Titan may be a deal breaker .

I've been hoping for this ever since the Titan launched, as long as it's not a crazy bump over the reference price I'll have to have a long look at this card!

What's the point? The stock cooler is quite good, and it's getting to the point where the limit on the cards performance is restricted, not by the overclockability of the components, but by controls put on those components RESTRICTING over clocking. Pointless product unless it's priced at the same level as the other Titans...
