Agreed, it's a bit daft. Although for them, I guess £20 in the account for an indeterminate length of time is always nice, and it should boost sales a bit at release.
To me it would make sense to pre-order it without a price if there was some sort of pre-order incentive, otherwise you're paying blindly just to be at the front of the queue in which case you're an epic fanboy...Quote:

Zero point in pre-ordering if you have no guarantee of when you'll get one. Going by what people on XDA developers have been saying about their HTC One pre-orders ASDA direct have awful customer service.
The way interest rates are going for current accounts you might as well put the 20 there as anywhere else ;)
