Haven't played the sequels but I did find Crysis very immersive and a pretty good game until those lame Matrix flying tentacle robots show up.
Is that whay Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 were crap - the important 40% - the story was missing!
Yeah, great game, it's not Crysis 3 level of detail (should have been if they'd kept it like the E3 demos). It's one of the "few" I mentioned, there aren't many. One of the games I've enjoyed the most recently, is Dayz and that isn't really pretty, just pretty real (with bugs ).
I think we're going to see some really beautiful games released, due to the impending console upgrade, I'm all for eye candy, but it seems Cevat Yerli is missing the point that it should be good enough to immerse you, then get out of the way of the story and gameplay. I'd put it at 30-40% in terms of importance - what about sound effects, music too?
Hmm, I bet the CEO of Crytek wishes he had the same sales figures as the Football Manager Series which is approximately 5% Graphics 95% Game.
Graphics is important in games that are let us say "less story based" than others...
I think that the Crysis 3 has the best graphics of all the games released till yet.
After a certain extent graphics are just icing I would say there is a base level of graphics I expect but its not majorly important to me how good the graphics are just look at minecraft for example its graphics are very basic yet it is an amazing game.
