3's main problem is that their frequency is more easily blocked by things like building....so they can struggle in respect to some other networks. I can't fault them apart from the odd occasion my signal is rubbish. Worst place is home, but as I can wifi it's not an issue!

Every network uses 2100MHz for 3G, although Vodafone and O2 fairly recently started re-purposing some of their 900MHz spectrum for 3G in some areas.

"H" = 3G, "H+" = 3.xG where x depends on what network you're on, where you are, phase of the moon, etc, typically touted as 3.5G. Or:

    H+ = decent broadband; H = basic broadband; G = dial-up.

What do LTE phones show, "4" or "L"?
At least my Nexus 4 never shows H+ it just goes Nothing > G (2G) > E (EDGE) > 3G > H as far as I can tell, independent apps show that H covers HSPA, HSPA+ etc. Sometimes I see an R for Roaming.

Based from the UK guys, this is an issue where our wonderful Government & the late Iron Lady do not address Corporate misgivings. Shafted 24/7.

5G? Whatever, I'll be happy to get a consistent 3G connection..

Sorry if I wasn't clear...I meant just ANY signal...
