INVENTORS - DO NOT TRUST INTEL
I invented a CPU cooler - 3 times better than previous best - better than water. Intel have major CPU cooling problems - "Intel's microprocessors were generating so much heat that they were melting" (iht.com) - try to talk to them - they send my communications to my competitor & will not talk to me.
Winners of major 'Corporate Social Responsibility' awardS!!!
Huh!!!! When did RICO get repealed?"
INVENTORS - DO NOT TRUST INTEL!!!
BTW, I have the evidence - my competitor gave it to me.
BBTW, I am prepared to apologize to Intel if;
• They can show that the actions were those of a single individual in the company, acting outside corporate policy, and:
• They gain redress on my behalf.
Inventors - help your fellow inventors - share your experiences with companies - good and bad.

I'd just wish they would stop putting GPUs in CPUs. I mean, in my case i would buy a dedicated graphics card anyway, so why do i need to pay for something i'm not going to use?
And also the motherboars come with video connectors wich adds to the overall cost of the system.
If AMD came out with the AM4 socket i'd go team Red in a heartbeat.

So how much do those connectors add to the total cost do you reckon? £1?

You do know we have rules about insulting other members, don't you? If not, you'd best read them.
If you have comments to make, please make them constructive, not merely insulting. If you think a post contravenes our rules, bring it to the attention of a mod.
Whatever the merits, or otherwise, of the post you quote, that type of response is not necessary.
Re: News - New Intel CEO pledges Intel will be more responsive to customers
Does a person who has created an account for the purpose of making a single post really count as a member?
That "member" has spammed the whole web with this nonsense.

Re: News - New Intel CEO pledges Intel will be more responsive to customers
Please Kickstarter your cooler design or just share it here on Hexus. I am a tad skeptical but if there is some merit in the design it will attract crowd funding and your problem to market is solved. Why would a small inventor type approach Intel? Intel as far as I know have never been about the best heat sink cooling design hence the $2 piece of junk that is a stock cooler with it's horrible plastic push pin fixings.
The new CEO is already full of it and spouting the usual bull that is presumable intended to makes it sound like he knows what he is doing. More responsive doesn't mean squat for the end users.
Re: News - New Intel CEO pledges Intel will be more responsive to customers
Or maybe that guy actually invented the intel stock cooler :p
Re: News - New Intel CEO pledges Intel will be more responsive to customers
So they're going to release 6 & 8 core Haswells for less than £200 then?
..yeah riiiight.
Re: News - New Intel CEO pledges Intel will be more responsive to customers
On a serious note.
PC industry is dying so wouldn't it be better to try and find new customers, rather than attempt to keep an ever diminishing pool happy.

lol
Sorry but the PC Industry isn't dying, its evolving and part of the reason we are seeing less desktop shipments each year is that the hardware has outrun the software in your standard office. Also PC is seeing more of a move to terminal design with the advent of proper server/cloud designs now.
At this time in the global economies recovery most companies are increasing their hardware refresh cycle times to take into account the fact that budgets have been cut badly. Mobility and BYOD are both areas that coming forward as prominent areas.
Also considering PS4 is now a PC on a single board I consider PC alive and kicking, not dying just evolving as it must to meet our needs.

Post of the week, for the wrong reasons :P
There is no debate in the industry that the concept of a PC is dying as it turns from being at the forefront of computing to legacy. The legacy requirement being the outlook/exchange combo.

What we don't want is a sort of new member vigilante squad, not least because in the past, they've been known to jump to conclusions .... and be wrong.
Besides, that's what the "report" button is for.
We have procedures, discussed at length over many years, for spammers. A LOT never get seen by members, and of those that get through, quite a lot more are dispatched very quickly by mods.
But sometimes, it's just not clear, and we do have information members don't, on which to base decisions.
So, where a member suspects a spammer, by all means report it. But vigilante insults aren't the way. For a start, how do you think it looks to other genuine users thinking about joining if they see some new members immediately getting insulted? Because those potential members may not be as diligent as you in Googling posts to determine that the insultee is a spammer, and just see new members being insulted, so they don't bother signing up.
Some people, Willzzz, including me and thee, are pretty forum-literate, and have seen it all before. But there's a LOT of potential members out there that aren't, and we need to consider how things appear to them. That's a major reason why we have a "no insulting members" policy in the first place.
