That would be awesome, if true! None of my monitors has an HDMI socket & I'd prefer running consoles on them than on TV if that is indeed possible...

The "what looks like some kind of game graphics demonstration program" mentioned in the article is quite clearly one of the proxycon tests from 3DMark - I believe 'Return to Proxycon' from 3DMark05.

Surprised you guys didn't know that with all the benchmarking you do!

liquid nitrogen is definitely non conductive, liquid helium I highly doubt is. Clam chowder I'll give them.

Thanks guys for clearing up the HDMI business. If I could use it to pass thru my PS3 and have the audio come with it, then that would be excellent. No more unplugging earphones and mic.

I wonder if it would allow people to record video as it is passed thru. Not something I would personally want, but I could see an interest for it.

I am glad to see ASRock pushing things.

Have to say ASROCK have impressed me with a few boards lately esp. their Extreme 11 series. Definitely one to consider in a future build. Looking forward to their Haswell offerings and maybe some new ones for Ivy Bridge-E a bit later.

a waterproof mobo is definitely not a feature i have been looking for..... are people seriously dropping their pc's in puddles and toilets often enough that waterproofing a mobo is in any way needed? >_>

Many years of custom watercooling I've never needed a waterproof mobo yet (been close a few times!), but definately see the advantage - moreso for making dust easier to clean off.

I salvaged a friend's PC after what turned out to be a slow leak from his sealed water cooler trashed the motherboard. The leak was slow enough that it didn't create an issue when he was using it everyday, but when he got back after a 4 week holiday the PC wouldn't power up. It had corroded the top PCIE slot and nearly took out the graphics card as well (took a lot of cleaning to convince it to fire up again - and some of the PCI contact fingers look a bit iffy). This kind of solution may have helped.

Its this coating durable? How about cooling your pc with hoe 24/7? Or submerging whole pc in water?

Some bits aren't completely coated (or they wouldn't work).

U could always plonk your mainboard in a fish tank full of oil however:
