What is it with HP and low res screens? This is a 20" device remember!

A tablet for the Hulk...none of us are hulks. As if you'd seriously take it out on a sunny day to sit in the garden, with a 5.5Kg (LOL, seriously??) tablet resting on your leg - who are they kidding?

If you don't want people to carry it by the kick stand, don't make it handle shaped...so many RMA's coming because of this.

I do like the concept of this. I can imagine how our family could use one of these, the Monopoly example is a good one.

However, as cptwhite said, what the hell is up with that crap screen??

Skype runs on it, so I would have thought so unless someone's screwed up and not put in a microphone to go with the speaker.

So do you think that HP need to put one of those no-one-has-any-common-sense warnings, (i.e. "do not try and use this device as a hand held phone") like the "contents may be hot" warnings on fast food coffee cups?
But don’t use the kick stand as a carry handle.
Hmm, missed opportunity here - would have been nice to have a pop-out handle - unless they're planning that via some sort of carry-case accessory.

As to the screen, higher res would have been nice, but I'm pretty sure that they'll have had to work down to some target price, otherwise get accused of doing something that's too expensive for the majority of folks.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

At 5.5KG it will be less of a target for theft by robbers,as you can bash them with it!

Yeah, wonder if it is low because of/for battery life, or because Haswell wouldn't cope well with more?
