I'd be interested to know on what you base that comment - last time I looked the Atom's were okay on the computation side, but got pretty well hammered by modern ARM-based designs on power usage.Quote:

Software support should be okay I guess, since I assume that it's only the OS that has to be ported to the different architecture. (Knowing little of how the internals of an Android tablet work ... does it show? <grin>)
EDIT: just came across http://www.extremetech.com/computing...ower-efficient which seems to contradict what I'd seen before, with the Atom being most powerful AND doing pretty well on the power-sipping.
