This with an i7 should be able to play games right? even if on medium quality thats good enough as long as it doesnt break the bank....which it probably will
It is annoying that there is no AMD option, as far as I am concerned the use case for this is best suited to AMD.
Without pricing this is meaningless. Nothing more than a Intel NUC with a slight upgrade

...which won't fit in this case. So the short answer is no!
Agree with noxvayl that AMD APUs would make more sense in this form factor, precisely for this reason.

With the top i7 it will play old games just fine, middle aged ones OK ish and any newer ones just won't look very nice turned down minimum settings but you *can* probably play them...
You need a discrete graphics card for attractive and high-res usage of modern/recent games.
That depends what you want to do with it, for gaming though yes definitely.

Possibly not. Trinity APUs run too hot for the cooling in this unit, so you would need to drop down to the new Kabini APUs. And they don't look like they can really be used to game - not AAA releases anyway (even at minimum settings) - Intel HD4000 graphics beats Kabini's HD 8330 per the latest reviews.
With Haswell about to launch i cannot see anyone buying one of these with Ivy Bridge on board.
Well looking at the i7-3537U it has a 17W TDP - so it won't be the fastest running HD4000 even though the max GPU clock is 1.2GHz, sharing with the CPU under load it won't get to stretch much. Tray price $346.
That puts it head-head (same TDP) with the forthcoming Richland A6-5345M or the older A6-4455M. I couldn't find any direct face-off benchmarks but there is this with the faster A10-4600M & 7660G (35W) against a higher TDP (45W) HD4000 & quad core chip:

Most games show AMD pulling away, it is close and sometimes HD4000 gets ahead though but the case cooling could probably handle the 25W AMD APUs like the A10-4655M. Don't forget AMD probably have more gamer friendly drivers as well.
If my primary use was games I'd probably pick an AMD APU all other things being equal (not that I'd ever buy something like this Brix thing if gaming was my use case but nevermind).
This is good but the price will determine whether or not I buy one.
No audio out and microphone? Getting audio might be a bit restrictive. Also with only two usb ports makes things tricky as well. Ideally you don't want to be plugging in extra boxes like usb hubs. They should have doubled up at least.
This would be an excellent little machine to put in all sorts of places but how much will it be and why launch now, why not wait until Haswell?

These will probably be overpriced no doubt for what they do ...
