Re: News - James Pond creator to revive fishy secret agent platformer

I remember playing Robocod on the Mega Drive (at least I think it was on the Mega Drive I had it) when I was young(er),I can still remember the cheat codes where you had to spell out CHEAT and LIVES by collecting items in the world hub area (Cake Hammer Earth Apple Tap) Had a bit of fun playing it again on the PS3 after it was part of PS+ pack Sony gave when they got hacked. I think I'd like to see a new JP game...

Re: News - James Pond creator to revive fishy secret agent platformer

I loved the Amiga original when I was a kid (Didn't even know what "JD" was and why it made James wobble around ). robocod was great too, but I'm drawing a blank on JP3, when did that happen?

I do think the series should be left in it's classic forms. A remake is certainly going to ruin it.

Re: News - James Pond creator to revive fishy secret agent platformer

I still have my Megadrive version of James Pond 2 & 3 and C64 Tape version of James Pond 2

Would love to see this come to fruition, they were and still are fun challenging games.

I just hope it succeeds in getting to its Kickstarter goal, last old school game from the same era that didn't work out was Dizzy unfortunately, would have loved to see that happen.

I do remember playing 1 and 2 on the amiga!

With that I bought an oversized james pond 2 t-shirt when I was a child, little did I know I bought the exact right size to wear it in my adult life, I wear it more now than I did back then!

Awesome games but I'm always worried that they will just ruin my memories of it.
