It's all starting to make sense now - of course pricing is always going to be important, but I'd like to think that the for company men working out in the field - this type of product will replace laptops.
Very interesting: shame the HD video specs are not for the right blu-ray frame rate. It took Intel years to get that right, surely Samsung could have learnt!
Don't want to sound like I'm pouring cold water on this, but haven't other companies done this before?
I thought Asus and HP both had dual OS tablets, and I'm sure Nikon did an Android camera (although it wasn't an SLR) before. That said, the hinge on the AtivQ looks clever!
I love how Angry Birds is now a benchmark of a laptops performance.
Tbh this is the more interesting thing:

If the price point is good, I'll be very interested in one of those, I like my series 9 (2012 model) so it would be a handy upgrade. However 12 hours battery is disapointing for something that heavy.

Mostly interested in the QHD+ screen to be honest. About time we started moving above 1080p. Now we just need monitor prices to drop.
They should've made the screen detatchable for a regular tablet experience.
I'm also confused as to how this thing closes - the "component hinge" part obviously sits into the recess of the keyboard, but as far as I can tell, this means you can't face the screen down clamshell style during transport making the screen liable to scratching. Maybe I'm wrong but i don't see any pictures with in the closed position? The Acer R7 doesn't suffer this as the recess is built onto the back of the screen section.
On a seperate note, have any manufaturers released a laptop with what I'm going to call "desktop mode". By that I mean typical clampshell laptop closed but powered on, with the screen and keyboard / trackpad disabled and the display output automatically primarily assigned to an external port (HDMI / D-sub) so that it can be hooked up to a regular keyboard mouse and full size screen for a full desktop experience without the need for having the laptop in an awkward open/unused position.

what, an Acer R7 + Asus Transformer Trio?
Clearly Mark hasn't read that much of the press release which clearly states:However the spec list doesn’t mention that this device comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus. TechCrunch suggests this is useful for poking “the tiny menus of classic Windows”.
qHD+ seems a rather unnecessarily extreme resolution, I'd be happy with a 1080p or 1440p screen for more balanced performance, that is surely plenty on a 13.3" screen. Both the ATIV Q and ATIV Tab 3 also enable superior productivity with S Pen functionality, enabling users to easily make written updates to creative and work.
Still a bit heavy for my liking though, I'd rather it be <1Kg and have a 10-11" screen with the same Silvermont Atom powering both OSes (is it possible, maybe not?), I assume this one has 2 CPUs like the Asus solution, which must surely just add bulk and weight.
EDIT: Apparently not, I find no mention of a 2nd CPU in the Q, I think it's some kind of emulated/virtual jiggery pokery running on top of Windows... anyone got any detail?
EDIT2: According to Anandtech it's virtualised which just sounds like a huge fudge to me. Would make reinstalling a PITA I suspect, only ever be able to use Samsung's image without losing the Android functionality.
