Love this game, still play it on Amiga hardware to this day, will be a day one purchase for me as long as it is done right
Re: News - The Chaos Engine PC reboot teased in trailer
I was hoping for a little more from the trailer, being a big fan of the game in my youth. I was a fan of just about any Bitmap Brothers game, and still play the Amiga version Speedball 2 via an emulator.

Loved the originally of this game on the Amiga... but if this is coming out soon why isn't it already for pre-order on Steams website?
Re: News - The Chaos Engine PC reboot teased in trailer
I wonder if the original PC version still works.

I think it's on PC - i'm pretty sure I had the Bitmap Brothers Collection on PC CD ROM. Not sure if I still have it though.

It is, the CD contains Magic Pockets along with Gods, Cadaver, Xenon 2 and Speedball 2.
Chaos Engine was released separately.
Re: News - The Chaos Engine PC reboot teased in trailer
Chaos Engine still looks gorgeous, it's just the gameplay that's aged (that or growing older has eroded by patience and concentration). I always thought a reboot would be a good idea, but more in the vain of a Borderlands style RPG, rather than a straight up indie remake.

Cahos Engine website links to getgamesgo says it will require steam, £6.99 not bad.
Re: News - The Chaos Engine PC reboot teased in trailer
If the controls allow dual analogue sticks to be used (left to move, right to fire) the game will be incredibly easy unless they change the gameplay considerably, anyone who's played it originally with a joystick knows that an old clicky joystick will be no match for a set of analogue sticks. Can't wait to get this though I still have it on my Amiga :)

Tried this at the weekend at Rezzed, plays exactly as I remember it on my Atari ST.

Loved this on the Amiga back in the day although never completed it on that, did it years later on a Nokia N73 :D
