Nope, I probably would have done had I not already bought a decent HDTV. But I doubt I'd be using the 3D on it much.
Got two Hanns.G 3D monitors (looking for a third but discontinued). Never used the 3D, but the 120hz for gaming is absolutely brilliant.
Just recently got a 37" LG with the Freesat HD Tuner built in, for £330 I thought why the hell not, my old 37"1080p was a real power drain @150w+, thisun uses only about 30w with a brighter picture and 3d to boot. Makes a difference in some games but I'm more looking forward to the retail Oculus Rift ^^
generally I have found or seen that 3d tvs are much clearer and "scan" much faster. I do not own one myself as I am not planning on upgrading my 36" CRT until something much larger is available for around a fair price, or it breaks. Until then I will just have to make do.
I bought a TV that had 3D, which is an important distinction. I've watched a few 3D things on it but unless the screen fills about 85% of your field of vision it's just not convincing. I'm not keen on sitting three feet from my telly to watch stuff.
When I do however, just to try things out, it can work really well depending on the content. Things like tennis in 3D are just different rather than better but some of the scenes in Dredd for instance look amazing in 3D. But you do have to be 3 feet away.
I actually hate 3D. I go out of my way to see films in 2D at the cinema, defiantly don't want 3D in the home.

Nope. No interest in 3d while it means either halving the resolution or adding a flicker. If i ever bothered going to the cinema then i might try a 3d film, but my wife thinks it would make her feel sick, so it would have to be something i wanted tovwatch and she didn't.
Yeah, thank you Mr. James Cameron.
I bought a Panasonic P50ST50 a year ago but I only used its 3D functionality about 4-5 times for testing. I hate 3D, I bought it because of its great PQ.
I bought a 3D monitor 18 months ago, and yes I regret that investment. In that case, I paid around £100 more than an equivalent non-3d set, and i've used the 3d a total of 10 times. I just don't enjoy it for PC gaming, and I don't watch films on a 23" screen.
I did however buy a 51" 3D Plasma TV about 8 months ago, and I don't regret that for a second. I didn't buy it for the 3D (thinking I would never use it) - but bought it more because it was a bargain (its a Samsung PS51D8000 - £2k list new and I paid £700 just as it was discontinued).
It's practically impossible to buy a high end TV these days without getting 3D included (unless you are looking at 60" or bigger)..all of the major manufactures high end sets include it. You don't have to use it of course..but I actually do, about 3 times a month.
Currently I am really enjoying the David attenborough "micro monsters" series on Sky3D, and I have watched plenty of 3D films on the same channel over the past few months. I even play a few games in 3D, but more of a rarity since there are very few that actually use the effects well.
Oh and the masters was simply amazing in 3D! It's a great technology if your eyes can cope with it, the biggest problem is that there just isn't enough quality 3D content at the moment. The recent news that the BBC are not going to produce any more content in 3D is very disappointing We need more content not less!
Nope. I fall into that 10% that can't deal with stereoscopic images. No 3D for me.
Nope, Kinda glad I didn't
bought a 47" LG passive 3d TV, absolutely love it.
Yes it doesn't spend all its time on 3D, but 3d blu rays are great and more importantly my gaming pc is epic playing games in 3d.
no regrets
Yes - but I didn't get it to watch 3D, I simply wanted the best 2D image in the available screen size. The TV having 3D was an unnecessary (and barely used) bonus.
went out of my way to trade in my perfectly good 32" samsung HDTV with usb in, hdmi, smart capabilities for a Tesco Technica 42" 3D tv that has half as many features, but i am so glad i did
Avengers Assemble
GT5
Halo Anniversary edition
Captain America
Thor
Green Hornet
are just a few reasons i am so glad i did
i dont care if its not perfect
i dont care that if i look at it wrong it gets a bit distorted
its a basic TV that does 3D, and im sure when it breaks, 3D will have gotten so much better that it will be near perfect
i would'nt go back, and i feel so ...out of date, ...when im forced to watch flat images on a telly, how 20th century...
