Battlefield has a campaign?
Honestly I always thought the single player for the Battlefield games (not counting Bad Company) were a waste of time, they would of been better off putting that development time & resources into the MP.
Titan Fall has seen this is the case and dropped SP completely to focus purely on MP instead of a 'strapped on' 4hour campaign.
campaign? who cares?
I've always been annoyed that I'm forced to do without various weapons becuase you MUST play Co_op online to win them. Moreover, you have to fly the chopper !
Me, I only play SP. did that answer your question? ;)
As a BF3 player who never got further than 15 mins into the SP and the Co-op.......but has played untold hours of MP, I can still understand why people want those modes.
If the best looking FPS ever gets released, SP, MP and co-op players alike will want to play it.
I quite enjoyed BF3 campaign, I have no idea what the 'story' was but I enjoyed playing through it.
Downloaded it again as its now free in PS+ just to play the SP and a bit of co-op perhaps.
MP was enjoyable (I can't even recall any other game I've played MP on) but I just don't have the time to invest in anything other than SP.
BF3 campaign was decent because u could do the whole thing with a mate online. i think?
I agree, the Bad Company single player campaigns are better.
I play both SP and MP in battlefield. Whether its SP or MP in battlefield 4, I really love how well it is you can use objects around you to kill your enemies.
And as long as Battlefield remains an Origin exclusive, this doesn't affect me at all.
Looking forward to the new campaign, BF3 campaign was actually enjoyable if a bit short.
"Disappointing single-player" - are you sure that you're talking about BF3, not BF2? Personally, I thought that the BF3 SP effort was pretty good - although the usual comment about it being a little on the short side applies. Did you know that they produced a novel - written by Andy McNab of the SP campaign - which, I'd suggest that they wouldn't have bothered with if it was a tacked on extra.
That the MP was decent was a bonus in my book. Don't forget that not everyone has a good enough net connection to be able to get consistent play.
I'll also state that the PC version is streets ahead of the XBox version - the latter has some pretty appalling graphical glitches and the odd weird hit detect anomaly.
I can't wait to try the commander feature again. Loving that it'll be available to tablet users... I wonder what the tablet specs will need to be though.
