This new 323ppi tablet is also a bit more expensive, for now.

Waiting to see the UK pricing. BestBuy have it up at $229 but of course that doesn't translate. Basing it off current Nexus 7 pricing and the new pricing in the states we are looking at £179.99 ish for the 16GB here but that could just be wishful thinking.

Soo, is this WUXGA 1920x1200 screen or HD 1920x1080? The wording of the spec is a bit weird:

"Screen: 7.02” 1920x1200 HD display (323 ppi), 1080p HD IPS, Scratch resistant Corning® glass"

Looks nice! Very curious about the price, hopefully it's be even more agressive this time! I'm hankering for the new 10" though, any idea when that might arrive?

I wonder when they will be a nexus 10 refresh. May be there waiting for the next iPad launch and will release something as competitive and subsidized like the nexus 4 specs

If you have the tablet in landscape, the navigation buttons take up the bottom section of the screen and i think that leaves it at 1080p usable space.

I wasnt going to get one of these, i was going to stick out with my 1st gen N7... but i dont know if i can resist.

I'm curious what you mean by
Also Netflix content will be available for the first time.
I've had Netflix running on my nexus 7 for months?

Sorry, I've updated it, it is _1080p_ Netflix content that will debut on Android with the new Nexus 7.

I like the look of this. If its priced at around £180-£200 then I doubt I'll be able to resist.

    http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/search-keywords/149_3396_31202_1731_xx/google+nexus+android+4.2/1_20/price-asc/xx-criteria.html

    £199.99 for 16GB
    £239.99 for 32GB

Though they seem a little confused by marking the 32GB up as coming with 4.2, but the 16GB with 4.3...

Re: News - Google introduce thinner, lighter, faster Nexus 7 tablet

Wow.. Those specs! Very impressive IMO.

I have an iPad Mini myself though as 7" is a tiny bit too small for me, I like the screen size/aspect ratio of the iPad Mini - however they're really going to have to up their game with the next refresh. 1024*768 is pretty poor and you can notice the pixels when compared with other tablets. I'm not sure what resolution would be good though as 2048*1536 seems a bit too overkill at 7.9" and you can't really have a screen size in between AFAIK.

Anyway, seems I've gone off a tangent as this was meant to be about the new Nexus 7. I like how the GPU power has been increased by 4x as there are now 2.25x more pixels to fill.

The screen should indeed be 1920x1200 as that's the same aspect ratio as the original Nexus 7 (1.6:1 or 8:5, however you want to call it).

At 8" this would have been perfect imho. It will be successful either way of course but honestly, after all the reviews and experience of the ipad mini's 8" screen hitting a sweet spot, I'm amazed they didn't increase the screen size just a little.
