Is it me (probably) but I can't really see the relevance of these extreme overclocking stats

Frankly feats like this bear little or no relevance to actual ram, as know-one I know has affordable access to liquid nitrogen. HOWEVER ny inner geek is in reality super impressed

Agreed - it isn't even really much in way of a proof-of-principle. Seeing what could be done on custom air/water setups (however extreme these may be) would at least remain something for home enthusiasts to shoot for.

G-Skill seems to make some great memory, though I don't see the point in maxing and overclocking the RAM on LN cooling. Wouldn't it be better to do such overclocking on water cooling to get more gaming customers to choose them over Corsair.

Just like LN2 CPU overclocking; irrelevant to the masses!

Nice result. I would like to see this kind of extreme memory overclocking on FM2 platform and the impact on iGPU performance.
