There is a specific market for this phone... and it is the people who have held out on old Nokias for so long, they need the physical numpad. :P

Great idea to bring back the tactile feel of a real keyboard.
Ie a phone for people who create, not those that purely consume.

Flip fones are a thing of the past now. The will be too bulky compaired to todays slim and light devices.
Thanks Samsung but not for me.

I have no problems 'creating' on a touchscreen, although I sometimes miss the qwerty pads on my old slider phones
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
I'm still holding out for a horizontal slider. No phone was as easy to type on as the n97

Ugly phones - if they sell them over here (unlikely) then they'll have to be very, very cheap. The "Folder" reminds me very much of an old Motorola phone.
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
This could be one of the best phones for gaming if you think about it, when using the screen on the back, the number pad will be at the back, and could be used for triggers etc
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
I like the clamshell format, but I think it needs to be Qwerty in this day and age. Phone numbers are the only thing I find really easy to type on touchscreens - normal letters not so much.

Blackberry? Haha.. I must say the latest releases are really impressive, maybe still not market leaders but compared to where the were they are brilliant. I have the bold 9970 which has an amazing keyboard (not current gen I know) which IMO is so much faster to type on than touch phones. Also the z10 has a much improved UI and quality feel and a very good touch screen. I imagine the Q10 has the area of physical buttons pretty much nailed.

Me too, I miss the full slide out keyboards!
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
Can see this being useful for people afraid/unsure of full touchscreens but moving them onto the android os.
It'd have to be fairly cheap though, but can't see that with 2 screens.
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
I do prefer physical buttons, the touch-screen home buttons on the Windows phones are a nightmare - it's so easy to brush one of them and have to go back or restart whatever you were on. I agree with krazy_olie that I'd love to see a horizontal slider with a big screen and a full size keypad, I wouldn't even care if it was really bulky I'd buy it!
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
If they made it razr thin, then it would be a good option for those who do not like to use touchscreens. I know many people who prefer physical keypads over touchscreens.
Re: News - Press images leaked for Samsung Folder and Hennessy flip phones
I can't say that I have ever really liked clamshells even back when they were in vogue. So, not for me..
